Handbells

This group is open to join with inquiry (basic music reading skills are necessary). Current membership rings with an octave and a half of bells, but we have enough bells to ring three octaves. Rehearsals vary based on the season. Check out our events calendar for updates.

Choir

This mixed-voice ensemble is the centerpiece of all music groups in the church. Weekly anthems and seasonal cantatas for Advent, Christmas, Lent, and Easter are presented. Rehearsals are on Wednesday's at 6:30pm and on Sundays at 9:30 am in the sanctuary.

Band

Our band consists of piano, organ, guitar, bass, and drums. They serve as the primary worship leaders for the 10:30 am worship service. Rehearsals are on Sundays at 9:30 am in the sanctuary.

Tim Redding

Tim started playing piano at age 7, and started singing with choirs at age 13. In high school, he was a member of the vocal ensemble, band, and All-State Reading Choir. As a student at Florida Gateway College, he was a member of the college choir, consort, and chamber singers; with these groups, he had the privilege of performing at Carnegie Hall three times.

Tim began attending First Presbyterian Church in 2006 as the keyboardist for the contemporary service praise band, then joined the church in January 2009. After stints as church musician at two other churches, Tim returned as church pianist in 2012, and has been the music director/worship coordinator since July 2014.

If you are interested in participating in music ministry in any capacity at FPCLC, please feel free to  email Tim Redding at tim@fpclc.org.
