Communications Update

Updated: Dec 4, 2020

Our live streaming Sunday Service is looking good, sound improved, new cameras purchased, and many other details attended to. A huge thanks to all those who are making it happen. Prayerfully, we can resume in person worship in September, however live streaming Services will continue to be a permanent part of our worship. Electronic media is the present and future. Spreading the good news of our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, and growing the Church is our Ministry.

For 2021 and beyond we may want to train our congregants and our youth to help with video productions. They would operate all the hardware and run the software. There is a vast amount of information available to aid us with this work. Maybe we want to think big and do more than stream bible study classes and Sunday Services. Participants will have an opportunity to exercise their creativity, I believe this will be very challenging and very rewarding work.

Over the last few months, I have watched hours of streaming Sunday Services from other Presbyterian Churches, to get ideas for our productions (FPCLC has one of the better services). We need to continue to grow in memorable messaging and productions. We want our viewers to look forward to tuning in each Sunday.

It’s up to Session to determine whether this is a viable approach. If the answer is yes, we can start work on a straw man plan. We have a tremendous amount of talent in the FPCLC congregation, let’s harness it for the good of the Church.
