I have high hopes for 2021, and I hope you do too! I truly believe that the best way for our year to be fulfilling, exciting and amazing is to focus on God’s love, to encourage one another, to serve where we are needed, and to grow spiritually. I also believe that one aspect of living this God-centered life is having a daily devotional time.
For the last several years, I have set a personal reading goal: a certain number of books, a series that I have been meaning to read, or a favorite author’s full bibliography. Due to staying home so much in 2020, I exceeded my "20 books" reading goal by over 90 books! That being said, my 2021 reading goal is to read the entire Bible. I have asked Nikki to include the chart that I plan to use, so I hope some of you will join me in this adventure! I plan to do my reading first thing in the morning, but do what works for you and your schedule.
I am also excited to report that, besides the Montreat Worship & Music Conference, I will be attending another worship conference in 2021. The Calvin Symposium for Worship, which is normally held in Grand Rapids, Michigan, has moved online this year (with over 3,500 attendees) and is free. The program launches on January 6 and runs through January 26, with live stream webinars, worship services, and on-demand content available throughout the conference. I am really looking forward to "attending” this year!
Gracious God, help us to be faithful to You in 2021 and always. Amen!
