Music Update

By Tim Redding, Music Director/Worship Coordinator

I am sure by the time you get this newsletter you will have started to decorate for the holidays. Maybe your Christmas tree is already on display. (I had mine up the Sunday before Thanksgiving: I just needed to see those joyful lights!) Especially now, at the end of this crazy year, I believe we are probably all feeling that need for warmth and love, to see the lights, and to have our souls lifted. I pray that we will all find the hope, peace, joy, and love of Advent and Christmas this year.

Hopefully, you plan to join us for worship in person or online for the four Sundays of Advent, the Longest Night service (online only) on Monday, December 21, and the Christmas Eve service (in the parking lot, weather permitting). Also, on the third Sunday of Advent, December 13, a small group of singers and the handbell team will present a cantata of international carols from China, Finland, Canada, Italy, Venezuela, Ireland, and more: “Christmas Around the World.” I look forward to worshipping with you!

Hope, peace, joy and love to you all!
