The Youth group has been busy in June!

In addition to weekly meetings on Wednesday night and biweekly Sunday meetings the Youth have had some special activities. We had a Progressive Dinner on June 5 starting out with swimming and appetizers at the home of Janie Killian. It was hard to leave our gracious host but the 3 drivers and 15 youth moved on to the home of Rachel Brown and her wonderful family that treated us to yummy salads! We ate and played a little bit before moving again to the home of Laila Striebel, her parents and very excited siblings! The Striebel’s provided delicious chicken Parmesan and oh so popular garlic bread! After feasting on the main course we traveled to the home of Johnny Brown and his lovely family for a dessert bar filled with tasty treats! A good time was had by all! Special thanks to the drivers: Johnny Brown, Beverly Schulz, and Jennie Bryan and to our amazing hosts: Janie Killian, Caroline Brown, Becky and Jeremy Striebel, and Shea and Johnny Brown.

A number of Youth helped with VBS by assisting crews and each area the children visited! The youth did a great job and also had some fun outings including going out to lunch at the beginning of the week, and a mission project making hygiene kits for our Blessing Box. Thanks to Liam Green and Madison Williams, PE leaders, to Laila Striebel our music and worship assistant, Madeline Moore, STEAM assistant, Harmony Parker and Lillie Hughes, crew assistants, and Lilith St John, Kid Vid assistant. Greyson Brown and Livia Hubler helped with our Mission project. Thanks to Diane St John for providing lunch on Mission Day. The kids had a great week and were treated to lunch and a movie with Johnny Brown and Nikki Hubler after VBS on Friday!

The Youth group are looking forward to a week at Camp Montgomery July 17-22 with Johnny Brown who will serve as Camp Chaplain that week. For more info contact Johnny Brown.

In August the Youth are planning a Lock-In, aka Sleep over, for August 5th. More info TBA!

The Youth Group had a great time at Janie Killian’s a few weeks ago and have been invited back! on July 10 following Worship, The Youth will go out to lunch and then to Ms. Janie’s house for devotions and swimming! Mark your calendars parents and youth!
